As we enter a new year, it's always good to look back at the highlights of the year before. Here is my Top 5 Films of 2010. They may not be to everyone's taste or be the stars of the year but they sure done something for me.
1 - Inception (Christopher Nolan)
2 - Toy Story 3 (Lee Unkrich)
3 - Youth In Revolt (Miguel Arteta)
4 - Avatar (James Cameron)
5 - Shutter Island (Martin Scorsese)
n.b. I have yet to see the French film Micmacs (Jean-Pierre Jeunet) which I have been wanting to see for a while and have been reliably informed is a cracker.
Feel free to join in with your top 5 - always good to see everybodies variations.
Okay then film fans! The time has come for me to stop sharing my thoughts on Film and TV with disinterested parties and start sharing with like-minded people. Sometimes I feel like I can't stop talking about my number 1 subject (judging by the blank looks and far-off distant gazes!). Hopefully, this blog will bring together thoughts, opinions, polls and discussions. This is a blog from my perspective. Enjoy!

1st Post! - My favourite film.
So, I thought for my very first post, it would be appropriate to talk about my favourite film. Everybody has one which usually evokes some kind of emotion in us or reminds us of a special time in our lives and that right there is the magic of movies.
I think I will be on 60th view or thereabouts and it still doesn't disappoint.

My fave is not a blockbuster, it is not recent but for me it's the best - The Blues Brothers (the original, not the monstrosity that is Blues Brothers 2000!). It has everything - great music and musicians, amazing car chases, fantastic disrespect of property and authority and, most of all, it really is the epitome of cool!
